The Great Victoria Desert Biodiversity Trust is seeking expressions of interest to be part of a Technical Advisory Panel to help in the assessment of grant applications for projects in the Great Victoria Desert.
The Great Victoria Desert Biodiversity Trust is a not-for-profit organisation with funding from the Tropicana Joint Venture as part of a biodiversity offset under the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1992.
In June 2015 the Trust will open a grants round to allow organisations to apply for funding to conduct research and on-ground management activities to help protect EPBC species in the Great Victoria Desert Bioregion (Western Australia).
We are seeking experts with knowledge of the Great Victoria Desert, Malleefowl, Sandhill Dunnarts or desert ecology.
Members of the Technical Advisory Panel will be expected to attend two meetings over a three month period to discuss the most suitable grant applications. Meetings will take place in Perth but Panel members will be able to tele-conference into meetings as required. Members of the Technical Advisory Panel will be ineligible to apply for grants during this grants round.
In the first round the focus species will be the Malleefowl and the Sandhill Dunnart. If you are interested in being part of the Technical Advisory Panel please send through a one-page expression of interest and your CV to Kathryn.firstname.lastname@example.org by the 31 March 2015.
