Malleefowl LiDAR survey across the GVD

In late December 2018 to early 2019, the Trust funded a project to undertake LiDAR for the detection of Malleefowl mounds across a wide variety of habitats across the Great Victoria Desert. The survey flew over 1675 km or approximately 100,500 Ha. The survey found 102 Class 1 mounds (highly likely to be Malleefowl mounds) and a further 22 Class 2 mounds (could be a Malleefowl mound) were detected. See the full reports below for locations of mounds and detailed information relating to the projects.
