In October and November 2017 Greening Australia, funded by the Trust, installed sixty-three motion-sensor cameras throughout 20 sites in the Great Victoria Desert. These cameras captured an amazing array of wildlife across the region, extending the known range of many species including threatened species. Sandhill Dunnarts were detected at two locations.

Following up from the survey, the Trust intends to fund another trip to the desert to pitfall trap the locations where Sandhill Dunnarts were located. This will take place in August and September 2018, with results available in January 2019.
