The purpose of the Trust is to achieve several objectives outlined in the Trust Deed.


1. To develop a Bioregional Management Plan (also referred to as a ‘Biodiversity Conservation Plan’) for the Western Australian extent of the Great Victoria Desert (i.e. the Trust Area);

2. To facilitate and/or undertake priority research and development identified in the Bioregional Management Plan at the landscape level, including for threatened species;

3. To fund on-ground environmental and conservation management at the landscape level, especially related to threatened species; and

4. To facilitate indigenous involvement in land management and conservation activities to support the above objectives.
